Hospitality comes naturally to Nick — as does his love for steak.
With a deep culinary background in fine dining, Nick and his wife, Holly, were eager to bring their passion for perfection to a fine dining guest experience here to York, Maine. Originally from Australia, Nick became a tried and true Bostonian managing steakhouse legends Capital Grille, Del Frisco’s and Ocean Prime before making moves to coastal Maine. Now, he honors his beloved home country with award-winning Australian wines on the menu and a warm Aussie welcome to every guest who comes through the doors.
When not at the restaurant, you can catch Nick on the golf course, sharing his love of sports with his son, Hayden, grilling at home with Holly, or out adventuring with their baby girl, Victoria!
Meet the Chef
Executive Chef, Nick Donaldson, (yes, he’s also named Nick!) is no stranger to the restaurant world. Owner Nick and Chef Nick established a close working relationship during their tenure together at Ocean Prime Steakhouse in Boston’s Seaport and so he packed his bags and moved northward to recreate that same magic here in Maine.
Chef’s early career in chemical engineering gives him a unique perspective on food. He loves to take the ordinary and reimagine ingredients in new ways. From garlic horseradish mashed potatoes to a creamy camembert-gorgonzola cheese, Chef puts a delightful twist on the traditional.
